Chewy Coconut cookies

I brought these to a family party Monday night and was asked to share the recipe. These are my hubby's FAVORITE cookie!

1 ¼ c flour
½ tsp baking soda
¼ tsp salt
½ c butter
½ c dark brown sugar
½ c sugar
1 egg
1 1/3 c flake coconut
½ tsp vanilla

Mix flour, soda, and salt and set aside. Cream butter, add sugar gradually, beating thoroughly. Beat in egg. Add flour mixture gradually. Mix until blended. Mix in coconut and vanilla. Drop onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake at 375º 9-10 min until cookies begin to brown.
