Etsy Inspired Challenge #18!

This week's Etsy Inspired Challenge is Autumn Russell! Lillian's fun, sketchy style would brighten up any home! Check out the super fun art and use it as inspiration for a piece of art of your own. A card, layout, altered item, the options are limitless! Post a link to your project over in the comments on this thread over at Heart Hugs Designs for a chance to win an amazing piece of artwork, up to $55, from Autumn Russel!!

For my sample, I was inspired by the sketchy look to Lillian's artwork, and decided to try to add a sketchy element to my photo. To do this I printed the photo once on photo paper, in normal color. I then played around with the photo and gave it a sketched look in black an white. I printed the sketched image on vellum and layered the images, with the vellum on top:

Products:

Patterned Papers: My Minds Eye

Cardstock: Die Cuts With a View, Bazzil just the Edges, Paper Studio (Vellum)

Tools: Fiskars Treading Water Punch, Cricut Expression with Zoo Baloo Font Cartrige

Embellishments: Thickers Alphabet, Bazzil Brads, Autumn Leaves Buttons

Ink:Colorbox

Journaling reads:

Time flies all too swiftly. I look at this sweet photo of a newborn you and smile at your sweetness. In just over a year you have changed so much. You laugh; crawl up the stairs (and back down again); Say "hi" all day long; let us know you are done with your meal by throwing it on the floor; take a few steps; love to play catch...Just for a moment I want to hold on the the past; remember you as the tiny little baby who was dwarfed by a giant stuffed bear; remember the feel of you in my arms, when you fit there so perfectly. For, I know that time does fly, and in no time at all I will be watching you grow into a man.Photo: November 10,2007 Journaling: December 31, 2007
