For the last few months Max has been telling us all about Anchie..Anchie likes this...Anchie does that..Anchie lives in a big house..Anchie likes horses..etc. So on Sunday at lunch Max again tells us something about his friend Anchie. Jared then asks Max, "So when are we going to SEE Anchie?"
Max looks at us with this huge grin and laughs, "You can't see Anchie," in this tone that clearly said "Hello...are you guys idiots?"
It was the cutest thing! He truly enjoys having this "friend" to talk about. (I never hear him pretending to play with Anchie, I think Anchie is just someone he talks about) Max really only has one little friend that he plays with very often, as there really aren't any little boys his age on our street. The other kids are always playing with friends, and I think he is really wanting to have good friends like they do. Luckily, he will be going to preschool next year, so hopefully he will find many good little friends there. But, hopefully we will always remember the Anchie days...

Hailey used to have "two friends". her two friends were the blame for everything...her two friends came everywhere with us....we had to buckle her "two friends" in seatbelts. One time, she forgot them from nursery, and made thomas go back in the door to get them. It lasted for a year...fun times LOL. Enjoy Anchie!
Nathan had one named Ashley, and then she ran away. He was really sad for a few weeks.
What fun! My sis had a deaf imaginary friend. And then she ended up going on a signing mission and teaching ASL in high-school. Just shows you can learn from these friends. Ü
My kids did that too...I loved it! My oldest daughter used to watch that Mighty Ducks cartoon, and her friend was Mallory (a big, green, girl duck. LOL)
oh my! Too cute! And how funny how he "gets" the whole concept of the imaginery friend!
So very cute! Don't you wonder where he came up the name Anchie?
I think I tried to have an imaginary friend in elementary, but I am one of those people who could not convince myself of it. However I did have stuffed animals that I talked to, adored, and 'cared' for. So in a sense it's kind of the same thing, but visible.
I'm sorry I haven't stopped by your blog in a while... I need to catch up on everyone!
Well, I hope all is well with you and yours!
Shannon
